About The Position

This job involves providing excellent customer service, maintaining the floral department, and ensuring accurate product handling. The individual will be responsible for the care and merchandising of plants and flowers, accurate pricing, receiving and verifying product shipments, and assisting guests with product care and creative ideas. The role requires adherence to company policies and a commitment to maintaining a positive and productive work environment.

Requirements

Certification required for operation of forklift and/or pallet jack.
City, county, state, and/or federal certifications may be required.
Ability to write, speak, hear, and understand the spoken word to respond promptly to pages, requests, team members and guests.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance manuals.
Basic computer skills required.
Required to use or operate pallet jack, forklift, box cutters, ordering machine, computer, two-wheeler, etc.
Must have previous experience.
Basic math skills required.
Basic math skills using units of money, weight, measurement, volume addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages required.
An understanding of gross projections, transmittals, weekly summaries, invoices, transfers, labor goals, inventory, and other paperwork as assigned by store management is required.
18 years of age.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form or when helping resolve a team member or guest concern.

Nice To Haves

Excellent computer skills, including MS Excel, Word, etc. required.
21 years of age required to sell tobacco products and/or alcohol.

Provide professional examples for other store team members to follow.
Responsible for the care and nourishment of all plants and fresh flowers within the department.
Maintains and merchandises floral products in a proper manner.
Prices product accurately and neatly.
Receives product from suppliers and verifies invoice accurately.
Communicates with guests regarding the care of their purchase.
Offers the guests creative and exciting ideas for display and use of the product.
