About The Position

Stew Leonard’s is seeking a Floral Assistant to provide support to the floral department. This role involves a variety of activities such as helping prepare flowers for arrangements and displays, assisting customers, maintaining supplies, and ensuring a clean work environment. The position is part-time and hourly, with an estimated pay range of $17.25/hr to $20.00/hr depending on qualifications and experience. Candidates must be at least 18 years old.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, or equivalent
• Knowledge of different types of flowers
• Safely use pruning shears and box cutters

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service by helping customers with product selection and answering questions
• Assistant floral designers with arrangements, bouquets, and displays for a variety of occasions
• Answer phone and take orders
• Keep displays fresh by properly rotating flowers
• Process flowers and care for plants
• Inform customers about care, maintenance, and handling of flowers
• Deliver arrangements, when necessary
• Adhere to all health, sanitation, and safety regulations
• Perform other duties, as assigned
