About The Position
Samaritan Hospital is seeking an Environmental Services Project/Floorcare Technician to perform specialized housekeeping project work, including floor care and carpet care throughout assigned areas of the hospital. This role works independently and as part of a team to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
Requirements
- Six months to one year of housekeeping, environmental services, or floor maintenance experience preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers.
- Ability to work independently and meet established deadlines.
- Knowledge of infection control practices and universal precautions preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Responsibilities
- Perform floor care and carpet care maintenance services.
- Complete housekeeping project assignments throughout the facility.
- Follow standard housekeeping, infection control, and safety procedures.
- Adhere to blood-borne pathogen and hazardous communication guidelines.
- Train team members on proper project techniques and operating standards.
- Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean and organized manner.
- Provide excellent customer service and professional interactions.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing priorities independently.
