About The Position

ABM is seeking a reliable and experienced Floor Technician to maintain and upkeep carpet and hard-surface floors. The role includes cleaning and maintaining buildings and facilities, using chemical cleaners and power equipment safely, and performing a range of general cleaning tasks. No experience or education is required, and on-the-job training is provided. The schedule is Wednesday through Sunday, 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. The stated pay rate is $24.11 per hour; the specific offer may vary based on experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and market data.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must meet requirements for approval to work in specific ATS environments, if applicable, including providing a ten-year work history if available.
• No experience required; on-the-job training is provided.
• No high school diploma, GED, or college degree required.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience.
• One year of similar work experience.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain buildings and facilities.
• Follow procedures for using chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
• Notify the Manager when minor or major repairs or additions to building operating systems are needed.
• Maintain effective communication and working relationships with clients, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, and managers.
• Comply with company, client, and regulatory safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures.
• Clean and dust furniture, fixtures, floors, ceilings, walls, machines, and equipment.
• Move cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates, and equipment to clean areas manually or with hand trucks.
• Clean interior partition glass, windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
• Wash and replace blinds.
• Gather and empty trash.
• Sweep walks, rake leaves, cut grass, remove snow, and perform other incidental seasonal tasks.
• Wipe and clean tabletops, chairs, and equipment in food areas.
• Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
