About The Position

At Velociti, Floor Technicians are responsible for the overall floor maintenance of hard surfaces and carpet, including tasks such as stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction, and bonneting. This role covers various areas including offices, corridors, lobbies, entrances, stairwells, and other public spaces like break rooms. The position operates on a full-time schedule, Monday through Friday, from 5:00 PM to 1:30 AM.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent education.
Minimum 1 year experience in floor care.
Knowledge of how to strip, wax, and burnish floors with minimal to no assistance.
Knowledge and experience operating various pieces of equipment such as high-speed buffers, extractors, wet vacs, pressure washers, and auto scrubbers.
Must be a team player and committed to working in a quality environment.
Demonstrates exceptional customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

Janitorial or laborer experience in a facility setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures.

Perform preventative maintenance checks on all equipment before use.
Secure the work area and post safety notices for other space users before beginning work.
Perform floor care, including routine mopping (dry and damp), buffing, and burnishing on hard surface floors and stairwells.
Perform vacuuming, shampooing, bonneting, and extracting carpets, stairwells, and upholstery.
Perform wall cleaning.
Perform dusting (high and low).
Perform routine restroom cleaning.
Perform routine office and break room cleaning.
Maintain floor care equipment.
