About The Position

Red Coats, Inc., one of the largest cleaning companies, is hiring personnel for the Richmond area. We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team FULL TIME Floor Tech! The Floor Technician role requires a minimum of 1 year of experience. The primary duties involve keeping floors clean and in good condition using various cleaning tools and techniques, including stripping, waxing, and buffing. Floor technicians operate specialized equipment such as buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums, and are responsible for ensuring floors are safe and sanitized. Depending on the role, floor techs may specialize in specific floor types like natural stone or carpet. They must also adhere to safety procedures and report any maintenance needs.

Requirements

• MUST HAVE PRIOR FLOOR WORK experience of safely stripping, scrubbing and recoating of vinyl floors, carpet extracting, pressure washing, automatic scrubbers and other various floor machines.
• MUST HAVE PRIOR CLEANING EXPERIENCE.
• Must be flexible to help with other cleaning duties as needed.
• Must eligible to work in the United States.
• Must be able to READ ENGLISH.
• Must be able to PASS A BACKGROUND AND DRIVER LICENSE SCREENING.
• Must be over 18 years of age.
• Must have a reliable form of transportation.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for cleaning, maintaining, and restoring various types of floor surfaces in commercial buildings, including stripping, waxing, buffing, and sometimes repairing hard floors, as well as vacuuming and shampooing carpets, using specialized equipment and cleaning chemicals while adhering to safety protocols.
• Must have experience working with various types of floor equipment to include High and Low speed scrubber, auto scrubbers, carpet extraction equipment, and side by side scrubbers.
• Have knowledge of surface types and what chemicals to use on them.
• Stripping, waxing, and buffing experience is required.
