About The Position

RNA Facilities Management is seeking an energetic part-time floor technician to maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of facilities' floors. The role involves a variety of floor care tasks, including dusting, mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, carpet spot removal, and extraction cleaning. The technician will also be responsible for operating various floor cleaning equipment, assisting with trash and hazardous waste disposal, and maintaining equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE).

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent preferred.
Proven floor maintenance experience.
Knowledge of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances.
Excellent communication skills.
Authorized to work in the U.S. – We Use E-Verify

Responsibilities

Cleaning offices, hallways, common areas, and other areas.
Moving furniture before and after cleaning.
Cleaning, dusting, mopping, stripping, and waxing floors.
Operating floor equipment including extractors and buffing machines.
Use hand and power tools such as floor polishers, vacuum cleaners, mops, floor strippers.
Inspect floors for any damage and carrying out minor repairs.
Measuring chemicals correctly.
Operating chemical dispensing units.
Labeling chemicals correctly.
Cleaning, maintaining, and storing equipment and PPE proficiently.
Keeping an inventory of floor areas, and scheduling cleaning and maintenance duties.
Reporting maintenance issues to supervisor.
Assisting with the hazardous waste collection as requested by your supervisor.
Other responsibilities as assigned by your supervisor.
