About The Position

The Floor Technician is responsible for, under the supervision of the Manager and Assistant Manager, maintaining clean and attractive public and employee areas within the facility. Essential duties include, but are not limited to: Operate various types of cleaning equipment used for floor care and maintenance such as scrubbers, burnishing machine, carpet extractors and vacuums cleaners. Handles floor care, stripped and wax, carpet cleaning and shampoo, marble cleaning and polishing, upholstery cleaning. Moving tables and chairs as require. Prioritize and coordinate with other workers as needed to complete floor care work within the overall scope of multi-trade projects. Assist supervisor in the training of new employees in proper floor care methods and procedures. Tags equipment for repairs and advise supervisor. Maintenance and cleaning equipment. Follows all safety requirements and procedure require for the position.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED, or equivalent is preferred
  • Must possess outstanding guest service skills
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Must have high standards of cleanliness
  • Must conduct yourself in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations and Seminole Tribe of Florida and departmental policies and procedures

Nice To Haves

  • Previous cleaning experience and knowledge of cleaning equipment and chemicals is preferred
  • Experience in deep cleaning upholstery, carpet care, and waxing floors is preferred
  • Experience using professional commercial pressure washing equipment
