About The Position
Floor Techs are needed for Long Term Care Facilities. As a Floor Technician, you will have the opportunity to make a difference on your own schedule and terms. You will be responsible for preparing resident rooms, pulling trash, scrubbing floors, and maintaining equipment. Cross-training in housekeeping and laundry is required to assist in other areas as needed.
Requirements
- Meets all State and Federal requirements for US employment in a Nursing Facility.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Responsibilities
- Cross-train in housekeeping and laundry to fill in when necessary.
- Prepare resident rooms upon discharge or admissions.
- Pull trash twice during the shift.
- Scrub floors to remove all soil and finish the base of floor material.
- Remove splash marks from baseboards, walls, and doors.
- Maintain assigned equipment for cleanliness.
- Report the need for repairs to equipment, furniture, building, and fixtures.
- Assist in maintaining the main housekeeping storage in a clean manner.
