About The Position

Carillon Senior Living is seeking an experienced Floor Technician to join their Health Center team. This role involves maintaining floors and carpets throughout the community, including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, buffing, shampooing, and waxing all floor surfaces in common areas. Additionally, the Floor Tech will shampoo carpets and furniture in resident apartments and offices, pick up and remove major trash, and clean entrances, doors, windows, elevators, stairwells, handrails, and walls. The position requires maintaining all equipment and supplies in proper condition and assisting in training new personnel. Requirements

  • Must have effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Must maintain resident confidentiality at all times.
  • Must have an understanding of general cleaning practices.
  • Must be able to complete required duties within time allowed.
  • Have the ability to understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively.
  • Have at least a 9th grade education.
  • Six months to one-year experience housekeeping and/or cleaning.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous floor maintenance experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains floors and carpets within the Community.
  • Vacuum, sweep, mop, buff, shampoo, and wax all floor surfaces in the common areas.
  • Shampoo carpets and furniture in resident apartments and offices.
  • Picks up and removes major trash from the Community.
  • Clean and wash entrances, doors, windows, elevators, stair wells, hand rails, and walls.
  • Maintains all equipment and supplies in proper condition.
  • Assist in training new Floor Tech personnel.
  • Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.
  • Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
