About The Position

The Floor Technician is responsible for floor maintenance and restoration, including operating industrial floor care equipment. The role supports healthcare facilities and involves care of hard floors, carpets, upholstery, and other floor surfaces. The position is full time at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas in Beaumont, Texas, with a schedule of Sunday through Saturday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. The stated pay rate is $12.50 per hour. Prior floor technician experience is required for this posting; the description also indicates that training is available.

Requirements

• Prior floor technician experience is required for the position.
• Knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques is required.
• Knowledge of and ability to follow safety procedures.
• Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as a floor care technician or in a related role is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of hard-surface floor maintenance principles and use proper procedures for stripping and refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing.
• Operate various types of industrial floor care equipment.
• Use automated equipment to clean large floor areas.
• Use proper carpet and upholstery care procedures, including shampooing, damp-surface cleaning, extraction, spot cleaning, and vacuuming.
• Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
