About The Position

RNA Facilities Management is seeking an energetic part-time floor technician to maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of facilities' floors. The role involves a variety of floor care tasks, from routine cleaning to specialized treatments, ensuring high standards are met. This position is crucial for upholding the 'RNA Quality Standard' which combines efficient and effective cleaning methods honed over three decades.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent preferred.
Proven floor maintenance experience.
Knowledge of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances.
Excellent communication skills.
Authorized to work in the U.S. – We Use E-Verify.

Responsibilities

Maintaining all floor areas to high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
Dusting, wet mopping, stripping, waxing, and buffing floors.
Removing spots from carpets, performing bonnet and carpet extraction cleaning.
Disposing of trash and assisting with hazardous waste collection.
Operating floor sweepers, buffers, strippers, canister vacuum cleaners, and shop vacuums.
Wearing adequate personal protective equipment (PPE) when working with chemicals and equipment.
Cleaning offices, hallways, common areas, and other designated areas.
Moving furniture before and after cleaning.
Using hand and power tools such as floor polishers, vacuum cleaners, mops, and floor strippers.
Inspecting floors for any damage and carrying out minor repairs.
Measuring and labeling chemicals correctly.
Operating chemical dispensing units.
Cleaning, maintaining, and storing equipment and PPE proficiently.
Keeping an inventory of floor areas and scheduling cleaning and maintenance duties.
Reporting maintenance issues to the supervisor.
Assisting with hazardous waste collection as requested by the supervisor.
Performing other responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
