About The Position

This is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting directly to the Housekeeping Shift Supervisor and/or, in their absence, to the Facilities Maintenance Director, Assistant Director, or Housekeeping Manager. This position serves as a Facilities Housekeeper/Floor Care Technician for Sun City Anthem Community Association. The role is responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness, safety, and appearance of all facilities, including clubrooms, common areas, and flooring surfaces. This includes general custodial duties as well as specialized floor care functions such as auto-scrubbing, stripping, waxing, carpet care, and operation of cleaning equipment. The position plays a key role in ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors, while performing all duties in accordance with Association standards, safety protocols, and operational expectations.

  • Remain standing and active for extended periods of time
  • Ascend and descend stairs and ladders, and work at heights of up to 20 feet using ladders or mechanical lifts
  • Work in small or confined spaces as needed
  • Operate a vehicle safely under various conditions
  • Work indoors and outdoors in varying environmental conditions, including exposure to heat, cold, wind, rain, and fluorescent lighting
  • Use manual dexterity and visual acuity to operate tools, equipment, and basic office devices (e.g., computer, phone, radio)
  • Read and interpret written materials, including small or faint print, with or without corrective lenses
  • Communicate clearly and effectively, including exchanging information via phone, email, and two-way radio
  • Hear and distinguish sounds necessary for communication and safety
  • Work flexible schedules, including extended hours, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • High School Graduate or its equivalent.
  • Possess a valid Nevada Driver’s License
  • Valid Nevada state issued driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

  • Previous work experience in maintenance or custodial field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform custodial services across all facilities, including indoor and outdoor assigned areas
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, wipe surfaces, clean restrooms, locker rooms, and shower areas
  • Empty trash receptacles and maintain cleanliness of common areas
  • Clean glass, mirrors, furniture, and fixtures
  • Stock and maintain supplies in restrooms and locker rooms
  • Perform light maintenance duties, as needed
  • Perform floor maintenance including auto-scrubbing, stripping, waxing, buffing, and polishing, as scheduled.
  • Maintain and restore flooring surfaces to ensure cleanliness, safety, and appearance
  • Perform carpet care including spot cleaning, extraction, shampooing, and deodorizing
  • Address stains and high-traffic areas using appropriate cleaning methods and solutions
  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment including auto scrubbers, buffers, burnishers, extractors, vacuums, and other custodial tools
  • Perform routine equipment checks and minor maintenance to ensure proper functionality
  • Utilize cleaning chemicals in accordance with Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and company procedures
  • Perform emergency clean-up, including biohazards and broken glass
  • Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Adhere to all Association policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings and report safety hazards, maintenance issues, or unusual conditions to supervisors
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and labeling of cleaning materials and chemicals
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and facilities teams to prioritize and complete assignments
  • Document completed work, maintain logs/checklists, and communicate updates or issues to supervisors
  • Assist with housekeeping and departmental projects as needed
  • Demonstrate reliable attendance and flexibility to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays
  • Check and respond to communications (email, radio, etc.) as required
  • Provide professional and courteous service to residents, guests, and staff
  • Maintain a positive attitude and respond appropriately to requests and concerns
  • Support the mission, values, and service standards of the Association
