Requirements

  • Must possess a High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must possess a valid PA driver’s license.
  • 21 years of age or older is required.
  • Must meet minimum requirements on Motor Vehicle Reports in accordance with Driving Standards Policy.
  • Requires a current, valid, unrestricted driver’s license.
  • Knowledge of operation and potential safety hazards of using equipment.
  • Knowledge of universal precautions and blood borne pathogens.
  • Knowledge of laundry and housekeeping skills.
  • Must be able to interact effectively with patients, staff, and supervisors.
  • Demonstrated organizational and prioritization skill.
  • Skills of stripping, refinishing and buffing floors.
  • Spot cleaning and carpet/upholstery cleaning.

Nice To Haves

  • If in recovery, 1-year continuous sobriety preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the cleanliness of all areas assigned by the Supervisor of Environmental Services, including patient rooms, restrooms, offices, and lounges.
  • Perform tasks such as vacuuming, cleaning vents, walls, floors, and lights.
  • Work at various sites throughout the campus.
  • Attend and participate in educational programs and staff meetings as required.
  • Maintain and ensure a safe and secure environment by following safety procedures and reporting all accidents/incidents, hazardous conditions, broken equipment, and safety hazards to Maintenance or Environmental Services Supervisor.
  • Maintain and ensure the cleanliness and functionality of environmental services equipment, performing daily and routine preventative maintenance.
  • Maintain assigned storage closets, deliver supplies, shovel snow, and dispose of waste in accordance with established policy & procedures.
  • Schedule and perform the intermittent and restorative cleaning of all hard flooring, carpet, and upholstery.
