About The Position

As a Floor Tech at Healthcare Services Group (HCSG), you will help maintain the cleanliness and appearance of floors in a long-term care facility. You will perform floor care in resident rooms, common areas, and offices, using equipment safely and efficiently. The role also involves keeping activity records, reporting maintenance or safety issues, following infection-control procedures, and interacting positively with residents, staff, and guests.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership.
• Comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push and pull up to 50 pounds; stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
• Perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously and daily.
• Work around food and cleaning products.
• Follow oral and written instructions.
• Residency within the service area is required.

Nice To Haves

• Previous floor care experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Clean, buff, and refinish floors in resident rooms, common areas, and offices.
• Operate floor care equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain records of floor care activities and report maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor.
• Follow infection control and universal precautions policies to ensure a sanitary environment.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests and provide excellent customer service.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
