About The Position

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is seeking a Floor Tech to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of floors in a long-term care facility. The role involves cleaning, buffing, and refinishing floors in resident rooms, common areas, and offices, while following infection-control and universal-precautions policies to support a sanitary environment. The Floor Tech also maintains records of floor-care activities, reports maintenance or safety issues, and provides positive customer service to residents, staff, and guests.

The role requires the ability to perform routine, repetitive work continuously; work around food and cleaning products; follow oral and written instructions; and meet the stated physical demands. Residency within the service area is required. A high school diploma or equivalent and prior floor-care experience are preferred, but prior experience is not required.

Requirements

• Maintain a positive attitude and effectively communicate with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership to perform daily tasks.
• Comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
• Perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.
• Work around food and cleaning products.
• Follow oral and written instructions and perform routine, repetitive tasks daily.
• Residency within the service area is required.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous floor-care experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Clean, buff, and refinish floors in resident rooms, common areas, and offices.
• Operate floor-care equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain records of floor-care activities and report maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor.
• Follow infection-control and universal-precautions policies to ensure a sanitary environment.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests and provide excellent customer service.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
