About The Position

The Floor Tech maintains the cleanliness and appearance of floors in a long-term care facility. The role performs floor care in resident rooms, common areas, and offices, and contributes to a sanitary, welcoming environment for residents, staff, and guests. The Floor Tech works with floor care equipment, follows infection control and universal precautions policies, documents floor care activities, and reports maintenance or safety issues to a supervisor. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous floor care experience is preferred but not required.
• Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership.
• Comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods; perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.
• Work around food and cleaning products.
• Follow oral and written instructions and perform routine, repetitive tasks daily.
• Residency within the service area is required.

Responsibilities

• Clean, buff, and refinish floors in resident rooms, common areas, and offices.
• Operate floor care equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain records of floor care activities and report maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor.
• Follow infection control and universal precautions policies to maintain a sanitary environment.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests and provide excellent customer service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
