About The Position

White Oak Manor Charleston is seeking a dedicated and experienced Floor Tech to work in our housekeeping department. Conveniently located at I-26 and University Avenue on the Trident Hospital campus, our facility is committed to delivering high-quality care and exceptional service to our residents. We are located on the bus line.

Requirements

• On feet most of work time.
• Pushes, pulls, lifts cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Potential exposure when entering resident areas.
• Subject to reactions from heavy dust or housekeeping disinfecting solutions.

Responsibilities

• Dry mops, wet mops, sweeps.
• Performs emergency housekeeping as needed.
• Strips floors and refinishes floors as needed.
• Keeps janitor closets neat and clean.
• Keeps mops and other supplies clean after each use.
• Stores equipment in proper areas.
• Reports supply and equipment needs for replenishing.
• Adheres to safety rules of the facility.
• Utilizes proper care and use of equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
