About The Position

The Floor Technician performs routine floor care, including scrubbing, refinishing, and buffing floor surfaces. After initial on-the-job training, the employee follows standard procedures to maintain an assigned area. Duties are performed under the direct supervision of the Director of Environmental Services and are subject to inspection. This is an overnight position. The posting lists part-time PM hours (1 p.m.–9 p.m.) and full-time POC hours (11 p.m.–7 a.m.).

Requirements

Be able to read, write, and understand English.
Be in good physical condition to operate floor equipment.
Have working knowledge of standard materials, techniques, and equipment used in housekeeping activities.
Be able to follow oral and written instructions.
Be able to interact positively with personnel, customers, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.

Nice To Haves

High school degree or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain floors by stripping, refinishing, and performing daily maintenance on various floor types and surfaces.
Empty trash as specified in the workflow.
Keep all entranceways clean and maintained.
Follow cleaning procedures safely.
Keep equipment in good working condition and return it to the proper storage location after use.
