About The Position

AB Facility Services is looking for a Floorcare Technician for a Commercial Building located in Norfolk Virginia. This role involves maintaining the cleanliness of building floors through various methods and operating specialized floor machinery. The technician will also be responsible for preparing cleaning solutions, managing supplies, and ensuring adequate inventory.

Requirements

Must be able to work legally in the United States
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be able to pass background check.
MUST HAVE FLOOR TECH EXPERIENCE

Nice To Haves

One+ year of relevant experience.
High School diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

Cleans building floors by sweeping, mopping, shampooing, scrubbing, stripping/waxing or vacuuming.
Operate floor machinery such as tenants, kaivac, low and high-speed scrubbers.
Prepares cleaning solutions to include mixing water and detergents in containers in a safe manner and in accordance with chemical specifications.
Lifts and carries cleaning equipment, cleaning trays and cases of supplies to service the area.
Loads supplies into vehicle and returns unused supplies to designated area.
Checks inventory to ensure there is an adequate supply of items needed to clean area.
Performs other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill and experience capabilities expected for this position.
