About The Position

Under general direction, the Cleaning Floor Technician will be responsible for the cleaning, maintenance, and restoration of all carpeted and hard-surface flooring throughout the facility. This role requires expertise in operating specialized floor care equipment, adhering to industry best practices, and ensuring a clean and safe environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience in floor care, cleaning, or commercial janitorial services is a plus.
Knowledge of floor care techniques for various surfaces.
Familiarity with the operation and maintenance of floor care equipment.
Understanding of cleaning chemicals and safe usage practices.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality service and professionalism, maintaining the standards and integrity of the Environmental Services Department.
Clean, maintain, and care for a variety of flooring types, including tile, carpet, and brick.
Complete assigned tasks efficiently and on time.
Follow established procedures for the proper use of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
Operate, maintain, and care for floor cleaning equipment safely and properly.
Consistently observe safety protocols, including the use of "wet floor" signs and other precautions.
Work independently with minimal supervision.
Immediately report any safety hazards or concerns.
