About The Position
Cleans and services all areas of the hospital, including all off-site facilities, where light and heavy housekeeping duties are required, according to procedure. Moves furniture and equipment around departments and performs a variety of services to maintain the hospital in a neat, orderly, and sanitary condition.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Responsible for all heavy duty floor maintenance: mopping, sweeping, applications of floor finishes, and polishes.
- Strip floors of wax as required.
- Always use wet floor signs when cleaning floors to alert others of unsafe conditions.
- Responsible for the upkeep of carpet: shampooing and spot cleaning when necessary.
- Vacuum carpeted hallways, dust high fixtures, and vacuum vent grills.
- Assist with removing all soiled linens from using areas.
- Assist with collecting all waste from the hospital daily.
- Wash and reline trash containers.
- Maintain all heavy duty equipment used in performing duties.
- Report all equipment in need of repair to Director.
