About The Position

The Floor Tech/Project Crew is responsible for comprehensive floor maintenance, including tasks such as vacuuming, shampooing, bonneting, and extracting carpets, as well as cleaning stairwells and upholstery. For window cleaning, the role requires the ability to use a Tucker pole. The position demands considerable knowledge of operating, using, and caring for various floor care equipment including floor scrubbers, side-by-sides, burnishers, vacuum chariots, extractors, and pressure washers. Additionally, the Floor Tech will clean various areas within the facility, replenish supplies, and ensure proper chemical usage.

Requirements

  • Ability to use a Tucker pole for window cleaning.
  • Considerable knowledge of the operation, use, and care of floor scrubbers, side-by-side, burnisher, vacuum chariot, extractors, and pressure washer.
  • Properly and safely use cleaning chemicals per manufacturer standards.
  • Complies with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures.
  • Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner.
  • Participates in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments.
  • Applies all applicable OSHA and related local safety requirements to all assigned work.
  • Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
  • Attends training programs (classroom and virtual) as designated.

Responsibilities

  • Provides floor maintenance, including but not limited to; vacuuming, shampooing, bonneting and extracting carpets, stairwells, and upholstery.
  • Cleans offices, patients’/residents’ rooms, common areas, lavatories, halls, food service areas and any other areas that may require attention.
  • Cleans light fixtures, ceilings and vents, walls, mattresses, furniture, windows and window coverings.
  • Properly and safely uses cleaning chemicals per manufacturer standards.
  • Empties trash and garbage containers.
  • Replenishes supplies.
  • May change sheets and replenish linens.
  • Moves furniture and sets-up tables and chairs.
  • Notifies supervisor concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
  • Complies with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures.
  • Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner.
  • Participates in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments.
  • Applies all applicable OSHA and related local safety requirements to all assigned work.
  • Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
  • Attends training programs (classroom and virtual) as designated.
