About The Position

The Floor Tech performs daily cleaning of facility floors to ensure a clean, attractive facility in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards. The role requires following facility and department policies and procedures, maintaining professional relationships and confidentiality, and supporting patient rights, safety, and sanitation. The Floor Tech also assists with patient evacuation and works productively with an interdisciplinary team.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Knowledge of practices, procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in a post-acute care facility.
• Perform competently in areas including patient rights, safety, and sanitation.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to company policies, harassment and compliance procedures, and Life Care’s Code of Conduct.
• Read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours.

Nice To Haves

• Prior health care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain floors by sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, shampooing, stripping, waxing, and buffing.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude toward patients.
• Assist in the evacuation of patients.
• Follow applicable laws, regulations, company policies, and department procedures.
• Maintain professional working relationships with associates and vendors.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary and confidential information.
• Complete mandatory Code of Conduct and other appropriate compliance training.
• Demonstrate dependable, regular attendance and communicate productively on an interdisciplinary team.
