About The Position
A Floor Technician is responsible for cleaning, maintaining, and restoring various types of flooring in commercial, healthcare, or industrial settings. This role ensures floors are safe, sanitary, and visually well-maintained.
Requirements
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures
- Ability to work independently
- Strong attention to detail
- Physical stamina (lifting, bending, standing for long periods)
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience with floor care equipment
Responsibilities
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors regularly
- Operate floor care equipment such as buffers, burnishers, and auto scrubbers
- Strip, wax, seal, and polish floors
- Shampoo and maintain carpets
- Remove stains, spills, and debris promptly
- Follow proper cleaning procedures and safety guidelines
- Use and store cleaning chemicals safely
- Maintain equipment and report any repairs needed
- Place warning signs to prevent accidents (e.g., wet floor signs)
