About The Position

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is hiring a Floor Tech to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of floors in a long-term care facility. The role involves floor care in resident rooms, common areas, and offices, using floor care equipment and following infection-control and universal-precaution policies. The Floor Tech also maintains activity records, reports maintenance or safety issues, and provides positive customer service to residents, staff, and guests. Other duties may be assigned.

Candidates should be able to perform routine, repetitive tasks, follow oral and written instructions, and work around food and cleaning products. The position requires lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds, and standing, sitting, bending, and walking for extended periods. Residency within the service area is required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous floor care experience is preferred but not required.
• Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership.
• Comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
• Perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously and daily.
• Work around food and cleaning products.
• Follow oral and written instructions.
• Residency within the service area is required.

Responsibilities

• Clean, buff, and refinish floors in resident rooms, common areas, and offices.
• Operate floor care equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain records of floor care activities and report maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor.
• Follow infection control and universal precautions policies to ensure a sanitary environment.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
