Floor Tech
About The Position
The Floor Tech at Lodge Retirement Community, a facility of Caring Place Healthcare Group, is responsible for the general care of all types of floors throughout the facility. This includes tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, shampooing, waxing, stripping, and buffing. The role also involves cleaning and maintenance of floor drains, proper disposal of trash and hazardous waste, cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, and ensuring all equipment and supplies are properly stored and restocked. Additionally, the Floor Tech may perform minor maintenance and repair tasks and assist with moving furniture. Requirements
- Must have a minimum tenth grade education
- Prior experience with floor cleaning/maintenance is required
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
Responsibilities
- General care of all types of floors throughout the facility including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, shampooing, waxing, stripping and buffing of floors as needed
- Cleaning and maintenance of floor drains
- Dispose of trash and hazardous waste according to facility policies and procedures
- Cleaning and sanitizing of restrooms
- Ensure all equipment/tools, including cleaning chemicals, are properly stored at all times
- Restock housekeeping supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, soap/sanitizer dispensers as needed
- Performs minor maintenance/repair tasks
- Assist with moving furniture
