About The Position

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is hiring a part-time Floor Tech to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of floors in a long-term care facility. The role involves cleaning, buffing, and refinishing floors in resident rooms, common areas, and offices; safely operating floor care equipment; and maintaining records of floor care work. The Floor Tech follows infection control and universal precautions policies, reports maintenance or safety concerns to a supervisor, and interacts positively with residents, staff, and guests while providing customer service.

The position requires the ability to perform routine, repetitive tasks, follow oral and written instructions, work around food and cleaning products, and meet stated physical demands. Residency within the service area is required. A high school diploma or equivalent and prior floor care experience are preferred but not required. Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies is required.

Requirements

• Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership.
• Comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Be able to stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
• Be able to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously and daily.
• Be able to work around food and cleaning products.
• Be able to follow oral and written instructions.
• Residency within the service area is required.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous floor care experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Clean, buff, and refinish floors in resident rooms, common areas, and offices.
• Operate floor care equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain records of floor care activities and report maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor.
• Follow infection control and universal precautions policies to maintain a sanitary environment.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests and provide excellent customer service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
