About The Position

Working with customers and a talented art team makes us happy. At Lakeshirts, Production Artists help transform creative concepts into production-ready apparel and accessories across screenprint, embroidery, appliqué, heat press, foil, acid gel, softwash, sublimation, and other decoration methods. We're looking for a detail-oriented Production Artist - Screenprint Floor Support to help keep artwork production-ready, support the screenprint floor, troubleshoot art-related issues, maintain quality standards, and help artwork move efficiently from concept to production. This is an onsite position in Little Falls, Minnesota. Remote work is not available for this role.

Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design.
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and production artwork preparation.
  • Experience working with digital art files, computers, and production workflow systems.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with artists, leads, and production teams.
  • Reliable, adaptable, and capable of making sound decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Interest in screenprint production, apparel decoration, artwork quality standards, and continuous improvement.
  • Employee must be able to see, hear, read, write, communicate clearly, use good judgment, stay organized, adapt to changing priorities, and work with patience, professionalism, reliability, flexibility, and a helpful team-first attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate screen re-burn requests when screens are damaged, missing, or require replacement within the screenprint production area.
  • Update artwork and production files in Adobe Illustrator to meet Lakeshirts production standards.
  • Partner with production leaders, artists, and screenprint teams to resolve artwork and production challenges.
  • Record errors, inconsistencies, and recurring issues to improve artist knowledge and strengthen production-ready files.
  • Support lean manufacturing practices by helping reduce waste and improve workflow efficiency.
  • Complete daily production art support tasks including DTS sending, namedrops, proofing, art revisions, and art comps as needed.
  • Communicate standards questions, artwork concerns, and process inconsistencies to production leadership and the Art Manager.
