About The Position

Primarily responsible for laundry delivery and pick up, removal of garbage, cleaning and sanitation of dining rooms, troubleshooting maintenance emergencies and making repairs when possible. The position also responds to alarms (resident and life safety) and assisting nursing with any life safety and building security needs.

Requirements

High School diploma
Ability to follow instructions
Able to speak, read, understand English language
Must be able to work weekends and nights as assigned.
General maintenance knowledge.
Some experience in carpentry and mechanical repairs
Some experience and knowledge in plumbing
Must be 18 years of age or older

Responsibilities

Take down soiled laundry and bring up clean laundry.
Removal of garbage from Elim Park and Elim Park Place and transporting it to the dumpster.
Stock nursing supplies of juice, water, ginger ale and paper goods and bring up whatever they need from storeroom.
Assisting nursing with any life safety and building security needs.
Cleaning and sanitation of dining rooms; sweep and mop all dining room floors daily.
Must remove snow by shovel or power means; apply ice melt and sand as necessary.
Respond to any emergencies or alarms promptly, including operation of the fire panel.
Troubleshooting maintenance emergencies and making repairs when possible.
Flexibility in schedule for coverage in case of an emergency.
Some animal care duties are required.
Performs any other duties and responsibilities that may become necessary or as directed by Supervisor.
