About The Position

The Floor Person is responsible for various tasks on the production floor, including managing product flow, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting with batch preparation. This role requires the ability to work in a cold and wet environment, lift up to 40 pounds, and perform essential job functions with minimal supervision. The position also involves record-keeping and the potential to obtain Pallet Jack/Tow Motor Operator certification. Applicants must have a government identification number for employment verification and adhere to Tyson's rehire policies.

Requirements

Willingness to work in a cold and wet environment.
Willingness to lift as needed up to 40 pounds.
Must be able to read, write, and understand simple arithmetic in order to maintain department records.
Able to work with minimum supervision.
Able to perform essential job functions.
Must provide government identification number for employment verification.
Applicants who have worked for Tyson Foods 3 or more times will not be accepted.
Rehires are accepted after 180 days, with potential for longer waiting periods or denial based on dismissal reason.

Nice To Haves

Able to obtain Pallet Jack/Tow Motor Operator certification.

Responsibilities

Push tanks into dumper, and dump as needed to keep line full of product.
Record tanks used, including ticket numbers, pounds and kill dates.
Keep floors clear of product, plastic waste, etc. and dispose in appropriate container.
Assist Marination Operator in preparing batches as needed.
Willing and able to obtain Pallet Jack/Tow Motor certification.
Able to work with Plant View/SAP/EIM.
Other duties as assigned.
