This person will be in command of overall operations of the restaurant in the absence of the General Manager and Assistant General Manager. The Floor Manager is responsible for facilitating coaching, counseling, and disciplinary discussions, interviewing and selecting employees, directing daily work activities of all scheduled staff, monitoring and managing discrepancies with registers, and ensuring the overall grooming of service staff. They will also monitor operational effectiveness, communicate observations and suggestions for improvements, and assist with training new and existing staff. A key aspect of this role is focusing on specific areas of restaurant needs, such as beverage, wine sales, or service, as requested by the General Manager.
