About The Position

Trillium is seeking an experienced Floor Manager to join our team! In this position, you will play a key role in managing all aspects of our restaurant business. You will be expected to deliver a high-quality experience to our guests and motivate our staff to ensure excellent customer service. Managers will be responsible for maintaining quality and increasing profitability. Exceptional management skills and a strong understanding of customer service are a must.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 years’ experience working as a restaurant manager
  • Experience as a bartender, server or support member preferred
  • Demonstrated success in process improvement and initiative
  • Ability to work independently, as well as lead, manage, and motivate a team
  • Confidence and business acumen to delegate staff effectively based on business conditions
  • Organized and efficient with great attention to detail
  • Exceptional guest service skills
  • Collaborative and respectful presence with entire Front of House team
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and communicate clearly, with composure and enthusiasm, to customers and staff
  • Willing to work a flexible weekend schedule (Friday-Sunday) including nights and holidays
  • Follow appropriate procedures for serving alcohol (e.g., TIPSs (Training for Intervention Procedures)
  • Analytical skills and a solid understanding of business management practices and strategies
  • Move lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance and objects weighing in excess of 50 pounds with assistance

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that Handbook policies, procedures and standards are maintained and followed in a consistent and fair manner
  • Direct work for employees including setting hours and weekly schedules and assigning tasks before, during, and after open hours of the restaurant
  • Lead, inspire, and educate restaurant staff to achieve their defined goals and results, consistently monitoring performance and creating development plans
  • Partner with Human Resources to address employee relations issues; identify appropriate training and/or coaching opportunities and follow-up to ensure effective, legally compliant, and consistent resolutions are reached
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through promoting excellent service
  • Respond to customer complaints tactfully and professionally.
  • Analyze staff evaluations and feedback to improve customer’s experience
  • Promptly response to customer inquiries via email, phone, and in-person
  • Handle paperwork and other administrative duties
  • Keep relevant statistical and financial records
  • Oversee health code compliance and sanitation standards
  • Schedule maintenance and services as needed with Facilities Manager via work orders
