Requirements

Minimum of 0-1 years related experience.
Must successfully complete Noble Drilling’s industry specific training and orientation.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
18 years or older.
Valid Driver’s License.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.
Ability to perform mathematical operations using units of American money and weigh measurement, volume, and distance.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell.
Must regularly lift and move up to 100 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

Operates machines and maintains equipment used in surface drilling operations.
Assists the driller in a multitude of functions on the rig floor.
Works on rig floor while tripping (pull slips) and makes connections.
Assists Derrick Hand and Motor Man.
Keeps rig, equipment, and location tidy as directed by supervisor.
Performs basic care and maintenance of rig, tools, equipment, and trucks.
Cleans restroom house every shift.
Organizes and maintains: Conex, XO basket, tools, slips, bowls, welding trailer.
Performs other duties assigned as needed.
Follows the correct chain of command.
Reports all safety problems or violations immediately.
