About The Position

We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Floor Care Technician to join our maintenance team. You won't just be cleaning floors; you’ll be the person responsible for preserving the first impression of our building. From high-gloss lobbies to sanitized workspaces, your work ensures a safe and professional environment for everyone.

Requirements

• At least [1 year] of experience in professional floor care or commercial cleaning (preferred).
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Familiarity with various floor types and the specific chemicals/pads required for each.
• A strong work ethic and the ability to work independently during off-peak hours.
• You’re the type of person who notices a scuff mark from across the room and knows exactly how to fix it.

Responsibilities

• Perform specialized floor care including stripping, waxing, buffing, and polishing hard surfaces (VCT, tile, marble, etc.).
• Operate industrial extractors and shampooers for deep-cleaning carpets.
• Safely operate and maintain heavy machinery such as auto-scrubbers, burnishers, and pressure washers.
• Mix and apply cleaning solutions according to MSDS guidelines and safety protocols.
• Execute daily sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming in high-traffic areas.
• Set up "Wet Floor" signage and follow all OSHA safety standards to prevent slips and falls.
