About The Position

Performs transport of contaminated (bio-hazardous) and non-contaminated trash from point of origin to disposal site. Performs the following essential floor care maintenance functions: stripping, waxing, sealing, burnishing, shower scrubbing, wet mopping, dusting, and other related floor procedures. Possesses the task knowledge and application (usage) of all pertinent floor care maintenance chemicals and products. Performs set-up of rooms required for meetings, classes, etc. as prescribed by specific location within the organization and class size. When necessary and requested, assists with routine housekeeping task functions.

  • Must be able to exert force of 50-100 pounds occasionally, 25-50 pounds frequently.
  • Must be able to withstand significant amount of standing, pushing, pulling, carrying, lifting, and walking.
  • Demonstrates the proper usage of floor care chemicals and supplies.
  • Demonstrates proper hand hygiene technique.
  • Demonstrates the proper use of personal protective equipment, especially gloves.
  • Uses the appropriate safety equipment for assigned tasks.
  • Ensures complete safety of the environment to which assigned.
  • Understands and complies with all isolation room procedures and related infection control practices.
  • Understands and complies with the Blood-borne Pathogen standard policies and procedures.
  • Reports violations of compliance with all policies to a member of management.
  • Strictly adheres to departmental policies and procedures regarding general safety, infection control, chemical hygiene, and biohazardous waste.
  • Completes daily assignment worksheets for assigned task and turns into appropriate member of management.
  • Communicates well with management team as it relates to job performance and productivity.
  • Attends all work-related in-service training and meetings.
  • Properly applies training within the work environment.
  • Continually strives to increase job/task knowledge.
  • Demonstrates the ability to perform tasks in a manner compliant with all safety and infection control protocols, with an emphasis on use of personal protective equipment and environmental safety.

  • Proper hand hygiene technique and the proper use of personal protective equipment, especially gloves.
  • Use the appropriate safety equipment for assigned tasks and ensures complete safety of the environment to which assigned.
  • Compliance with all isolation room procedures and related infection control practices.
  • Compliance with the Blood-borne Pathogen standard policies and procedures.
  • Reporting violations of compliance with all policies to a member of management.
  • Adherence to departmental policies and procedures regarding general safety, infection control, chemical hygiene, and biohazardous waste.
  • Ensuring quality of end-product work equals the highest expectations of management with attention to detail.
  • Keeping work areas neat and orderly.
  • Completing assignments correctly and in a timely fashion.
