About The Position
A floor technician is responsible for cleaning, maintaining, and restoring various floor surfaces in our main buildings, ensuring they are safe, clean, and in good condition. The Housekeeper is responsible for the general cleaning and sanitation of all resident rooms, apartments, and common spaces. They are required to follow departmental cleaning procedures using approved facility cleaning chemicals. This position requires a thorough understanding of infection waste removal and disposal. Requirements
- Must be pleasant, tactful, & courteous.
- Must demonstrate the ability to follow oral directions.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities
- Inspect floor condition, identify damage, and determine required treatments.
- Sweep, vacuum, mop, spot-clean, and sanitize hard surfaces (tile, vinyl, wood, concrete, stone) and carpets (shampooing, bonnet cleaning, hot water extraction).
- Strip old finishes, neutralize residues, apply sealants, wax, buff, or burnish to restore shine.
- Remove stains, repair minor damage, and perform periodic tasks like grout cleaning or concrete polishing.
- Safely use buffers, auto scrubbers, vacuums, polishers, and carpet extractors.
- Follow health and safety protocols, use PPE, and report hazards or damage.
- Replenish cleaning chemicals, tools, and maintenance supplies.
- Work with custodial teams and facility managers to minimize disruption.
- Perform general cleaning and sanitation of all resident rooms, apartments, and common spaces.
- Follow departmental cleaning procedures using approved facility cleaning chemicals.
- Understand infection waste removal and disposal.
