About The Position
Gracie Square Hospital, a psychiatric inpatient facility, is undergoing a period of transformation and revitalization through its affiliation with NewYork-Presbyterian and Weill Cornell Medicine. The Floor Care Tech (Waxer/Stripper) in Environmental Services performs under the supervision of the EVS Supervisor, stripping, waxing, and buffing floors and corridors. This role also involves a variety of housekeeping duties to maintain an orderly and sanitary condition. The position requires going above and beyond for patients to deliver superior customer service and ensure their comfort and safety at all times. This is a full-time position.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3-6 months of hospital housekeeping experience
- Ability to read, comprehend and follow instructions
- Excellent customer service skills

- Strips, waxes, and buffs floors/corridors
