About The Position

Maintain a clean and sanitary environment within the facility. This role involves employing proper techniques for floor care and area preparation, including cleaning, buffing, stripping, and waxing, as well as carpet cleaning. The specialist will operate and maintain all floor cleaning and finishing equipment, follow safety precautions, prepare setups with tables, chairs, and tablecloths, and handle emergencies such as liquid spills and exposure to body fluids. Custodial duties may also be required.

Requirements

  • Three months of cleaning experience.
  • Must be capable of communicating any problems to the immediate supervisor.
  • Must have prior related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Must be able to push heavy equipment, including cleaning station supplies, vacuum cleaners, floor stripping equipment, trash cans, and water buckets.

Responsibilities

  • Employ proper techniques for floor care and area preparation, including cleaning, buffing, stripping, and waxing, as well as carpet cleaning.
  • Operate and maintain all floor cleaning and finishing equipment, including but not limited to floor buffers, burnishers, water extraction machines, and carpet cleaning equipment.
  • Follow all safety precautions for cleaning and maintaining all areas of the facility.
  • Prepare all setups with tables, chairs, and tablecloths.
  • Handle emergencies, including liquid spills, slips, and exposure to body fluids.
  • Perform custodial duties when required.
  • All other duties as assigned.
