About The Position

Fitness First is seeking a Floor Attendant to provide excellent customer service to its patrons. This role involves assisting members with various inquiries, processing transactions, maintaining facility cleanliness, and promoting Fitness First programs. The ideal candidate will have a pleasant personality, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work efficiently with staff and patrons.

Requirements

Must be an adult, at least 18 years of age.
High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
Minimum one year customer service experience.
Computer skills.
Cash handling experience.
Excellent customer service skills.
Pleasant and enthusiastic personality.
Ability to work with staff and interact with patrons in a courteous, knowledgeable and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service to patrons.
Assist patrons with membership renewals and program registrations.
Answer questions regarding Fitness First memberships and other Park District programs.
Enter membership registrations and process cash and credit card transactions into the RecTrac system.
Verify patron membership cards and collect fees from non-members.
Maintain an adequate supply of towels, including laundering and folding.
Distribute towels and locker keys to patrons.
Provide facility tours to potential members and answer questions about equipment or programs.
Promote Fitness First programs to members and potential members.
Maintain the cleanliness and neatness of the Fitness First reception counter area.
Leave work area orderly at the end of the shift.
Answer phone calls and take messages for staff.
Check fitness floor regularly to ensure cleanliness and accessibility of equipment.
Check locker room regularly to ensure cleanliness and replenish supplies.
Assist Fitness Center Manager with light office duties.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Adhere to and actively enforce safety responsibilities and procedures.
