About The Position

As a Transfer Station Floor Attendant, you are responsible for ensuring that the transfer station operates in a neat, tidy, and cost-effective manner. This entry-level position is based at the Langley Transfer Station.

Requirements

• Must have a valid driver’s license and access to personal, reliable transportation (site is not accessible by public transit)
• Valid work authorization in the country where the job is located is required.
• Successful candidates will be required to provide valid documentation confirming their eligibility to work in the country where the job is located prior to their start date.

Nice To Haves

• Landfill experience is an asset
• Backhoe & forklift experience is an asset
• Knowledge of the handling, storage and disposal of Hazardous Substance and Dangerous Waste is an asset.
• Experience or a mechanical aptitude would be an asset

Responsibilities

• Perform site maintenance daily using the lawnmower, leaf blower, etc. as well as use the backhoe and forklift to move material around.
• Assisting the public with directing customers with the drop off of their disposal & recycling of household items
