About The Position

The Floor Associate position at Elk City ACE Home Center 2 is a Full Time role in Retail. This position requires the associate to be willing to work evenings and weekends. The primary responsibilities include providing excellent customer service by assisting customers in finding products, maintaining store cleanliness and merchandise stocking, ordering merchandise, mixing paint, and cutting keys. Depending on the location, responsibilities may also include cutting glass and plexiglass, and answering the telephone. Secondary duties involve assisting with loading merchandise for customers, checking in freight, organizing bins and warehouses, updating prices, and general store maintenance.

Requirements

• H.S. Diploma or G.E.D. is preferred
• Ability to work flexible hours; including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Good physical condition for lifting, merchandising, and loading customers

Nice To Haves

• Retail experience is a plus
• Ability to operate office machines, computers, and Excel is a plus
• Knowledge of merchandise

Responsibilities

• Help customers find what they need in a professional and courteous manner
• Cleaning and stocking merchandise
• Ordering merchandise
• Cut keys
• Mix paint
• Cut glass and plexiglass, where applicable
• Answer telephone
• Help load merchandise for customers
• Help check in freight
• Straightening and stocking bins, warehouses, and yard
• Updating prices
• General store maintenance (floors, trash, restrooms, etc.)
