About The Position
The Floor Assistant supports daily restaurant operations by assisting guests, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring tables are properly cleared and reset. This role helps create a welcoming and efficient dining experience for all guests.
Requirements
- Food Handler Card (training provided if needed)
- Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification (if required)
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to carry and serve hot dishes (up to 210°F)
- Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Attention to detail and adherence to sanitation standards
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
Nice To Haves
- 6 months to 1 year of experience in a similar role preferred
Responsibilities
- Clear used tableware between courses and reset tables for the next seating
- Remove dishes, glassware, and silverware and place items in designated dish areas
- Clean and reset tables, chairs, booths, and floors between seatings
- Assist with food delivery and beverage refills as needed
- Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests
- Thank guests as they depart
- Support smooth restaurant operations by assisting where needed
- Attend scheduled staff meetings and share improvement suggestions
- Assist with food preparation when necessary
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
