The Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) is seeking a Flood Resilience Project Manager to support the development, administration, and implementation of DCR’s flood resilience data resources. This role involves contract management and stakeholder outreach and engagement. The DCR Office of Resilience Planning's mission is to distribute knowledge and coordinate action to achieve a flood-resilient future for Virginia through informed planning and proactive intergovernmental solutions. The office develops and implements state-led flood resilience plans, coordinates action through committees and meetings, shares data and resources, and connects with various levels of government and stakeholders to inform plans and build awareness about flood risks. The Flood Resilience Project Manager will play a key role in managing flood hazards and impact data, public-facing data portals, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, developing resources for asset owners, conducting data gap analyses, and facilitating communication between IT staff and contractors.
