About The Position

The Flock Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the care, health, and performance of company-owned turkeys on contract grower farms. This role partners closely with contract growers to ensure bird welfare, production goals, biosecurity standards, and operational efficiency while supporting Tyson's commitment to quality, safety, and cost management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Poultry Science, Agriculture, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of livestock or agricultural production experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and farm management technology.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with growers, management, and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Daily travel to assigned contract farms.
  • Limited overnight travel may be required for training and business meetings.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to and willing to cover other shifts as needed.
  • Must be able and willing to work weekends as needed.
  • Must reside in the United States to be considered.
  • Sponsorship is not available for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor flock health, welfare, and performance across assigned farms.
  • Train and support contract growers on bird management, environmental controls, biosecurity, and operational best practices.
  • Administer and coordinate medications, vaccinations, and health programs as needed.
  • Identify and troubleshoot bird health, equipment, ventilation, and production issues.
  • Conduct farm visits, necropsies, and health assessments to identify and address flock concerns.
  • Monitor litter quality, utility usage, medication usage, and environmental conditions.
  • Coordinate bird movements, loading schedules, sampling activities, and equipment deliveries.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with contract growers and internal stakeholders.
  • Complete audits, reports, and required documentation accurately and timely.
  • Support continuous improvement and LEAN initiatives throughout farm operations.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and be available to respond to urgent operational needs.
