About The Position

The Floating Supervisor will supervise employees in the daily production of corrugated board/converting board. This includes training, planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating employee performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; promoting safety, quality production and teamwork; and resolving conflicts. The role involves leading and motivating employees by setting an example of superior behavior, attitude, and performance to work efficiently and effectively, while ensuring a safe work environment and a quality product. The supervisor will effectively communicate operational information in both oral and written format at all levels: crew members, other supervisors, plant management, office personnel, and outside customers and vendors. They will actively promote and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and other programs and initiatives utilized within the organization. This position is primarily responsible for managing employees on 2nd shift but must be open to weekend work and a flexible schedule, such as working different shifts.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
Ability to cover off shift as needed.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in the corrugated packaging industry preferred.
