About The Position

Sinatra and Co. is seeking a Floating Maintenance Technician to join their team. The technician will be responsible for a variety of maintenance tasks across commercial and multi-family spaces, with a strong emphasis on investing in people and fostering a culture of excellence. The position requires a team player mentality and the ability to work flexibly, including weekends and on-call hours for emergencies. The technician will travel to properties in the region (Canandaigua, Fairport, Brockport) as needed.

  • Ability to lift heavy equipment or discarded items as needed on property.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoots and performs electrical, drywall, painting, plumbing, and appliance repairs to complete work order requests.
  • Completes resident-requested service requests within 24-48 hours.
  • Maintains awareness of budgetary constraints and manages materials accordingly.
  • Ensures grounds are in presentable order, picks up trash, reports hazards, and informs the office of resident lease violations.
  • Provides excellent attention to detail to elevate property curb appeal, both interior and exterior.
  • Identifies and acts on routine replace or replacement action items.
  • Assists in make-ready unit turns and monitors move-in/move-out dates.
  • Contributes to housekeeping efforts in common areas such as the clubhouse, lobby, fitness center, pool area, vacant units, model units, and other property areas.
  • Provides excellent customer service interactions while completing duties.
  • Documents property operations (e.g., freon refills, work order completions) thoroughly and timely in the appropriate log book or software.
  • Maintains working knowledge of Fair Housing laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Ensures trash receptacles are free of loose debris, bulk furniture items, and potential hazards.
  • Works a flexible schedule including weekends and on-call hours for emergency services, responding immediately to on-call emergencies.
  • Completes assigned training or virtual education through the Gracehill platform.
  • Completes additional tasks assigned by Property Manager, Maintenance Supervisor, or upper management.
  • Lifts heavy equipment and items such as appliances, and removes abandoned furniture.
  • Travels to properties in the region (Canandaigua, Fairport, Brockport) to assist as needed.
