About The Position

Family-owned property management company is accepting resumes for a Floating Maintenance Technician. If you have a strong work ethic, and are a self-starter, looking to make a difference and help our company grow, then you need to apply. We are currently seeking to employ a Floating Maintenance Technician to help with our Maryland property locations. This position will float between properties as needed. This position includes a monthly gas allowance. $1000 SIGN ON BONUS.

Requirements

• Demonstrate the appropriate and safe use of standard hand and power tools
• Lifting and moving heavy items (water heaters, appliances, rock salt, etc.)
• Be able to shovel and salt as required
• Perform routine, preventative maintenance
• Knowledge and practice of a variety of building trade skills
• Be able to work on step/extension ladders and roofs while following safety protocols
• Able and willing to lift objects as required
• Keep track of inventory and maintain a clean and stocked shop
• Complete work orders in a timely manner
• Identify safety and hazardous conditions and communicate any issues
• Follow company operational and safety procedures
• Ability to work an on-call schedule as required
• A positive, team-oriented attitude and understand and follow Westover Companies core values
• Reliable work ethic and dependable transportation; must maintain valid driver’s license and working vehicle

Responsibilities

• Exhibiting strong commitment to the service needs of the internal and external customer
• Communicating and working well with both leasing and maintenance staff members
• Always representing the company in a professional and courteous manner
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, service requests, turnovers, preventative maintenance to units and common areas as well as any other duties assigned
• Sharing on-call responsibility
• Diagnosing and repairing HVAC, electrical and plumbing related issues
• Providing own (basic) hand tools
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
• Attending in-house training as required
• Maintaining current preventative maintenance property logs
