About The Position

As a Floater, you’ll be a versatile member of the Boise Co-op team, providing hands-on support wherever it’s needed most. You’ll work across multiple departments to stock and merchandise products, assist customers, support register operations, and help keep the store organized, safe, and running smoothly. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, works well with different teams, and can quickly shift priorities while maintaining excellent customer service.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Valid Idaho food handler’s card or ability to obtain required certification.
  • Ability to successfully complete a criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Retail, grocery, customer service, stocking, merchandising, or food-service experience is preferred but not required.
  • A willingness to learn and take on a variety of responsibilities is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively greet customers, answer questions, and provide exceptional service.
  • Support multiple departments based on daily store priorities and staffing needs.
  • Stock, rotate, label, date, and merchandise products accurately while checking for expired or unsellable items.
  • Maintain clean, organized, well-stocked sales floor and backstock areas and assist with displays.
  • Operate registers, scales, and other equipment accurately and follow all cash-handling procedures.
  • Share Boise Co-op membership information and assist customers with membership sign-ups.
  • Follow food safety, sanitation, workplace safety, and security procedures.
  • Participate in inventory counts, daily huddles, and store communications.
  • Work collaboratively and with a sense of urgency, stepping in to support coworkers and customers as needs change.
