About The Position

This is a Part-Time Floater Teacher position supporting infant to preschool classrooms. The role involves providing support across different classrooms as needed, assisting with daily operations, and ensuring quality care for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years old. The ideal candidate is flexible, adaptable, and enjoys working with various age groups in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

  • Experience working with young children is preferred
  • Comfort and confidence working with children ranging from 6 weeks to 5 years old
  • Flexibility to support multiple classrooms and age groups throughout the day
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities, classroom assignments, and staffing needs
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
  • Dependable attendance and reliability
  • Must obtain (or be willing to obtain) the free 15-hour South Carolina Health & Safety Certification before orientation
  • Must obtain (or be willing to obtain) First Aid/CPR certification
  • A patient, nurturing, energetic, and professional approach to working with children

Nice To Haves

  • Early Childhood Education coursework or related experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Provide classroom support across infant, toddler, and preschool programs as assigned
  • Assist with implementing engaging, age-appropriate learning activities
  • Support children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
  • Help maintain safe, clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environments
  • Assist with daily routines including feeding, diapering, toileting, meals, rest time, and transitions
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members
  • Follow classroom schedules, center policies, and state licensing requirements
  • Step into different classrooms as needed to maintain quality care and appropriate staffing levels
  • Support teachers and leadership in ensuring smooth daily operations
